Wondering if the coffee is any good at Jack in the Box? I visited one of their fast food restaurant locations in Dallas to review the coffee there and found it acceptable, but not great.
When I ordered the coffee, they pumped it out of a canister they keep on the counter. I don’t know how often they make coffee, but cup of coffee I received was still piping hot, which is a good sign of freshness.
Jack in the Box hot coffee comes in a small and large size, for either $1.59 or $1.99. I bought a small. It is made with all arabica beans and is described by Jack in the Box as “Rich, delicious, High Mountain Arabica coffee beans. It’s the most delicious way to WAKE UP if you’re feeling a little tired.”
The coffee also tasted fresh, with no staleness. It was the correct strength — not too watery and not too strong — so they made it correctly. The quality of the coffee itself was so-so. It was good enough to drink with a Jack in the Box breakfast, but not so good that I would choose to go there if there was a McDonald’s or Dunkin’ Donuts or 7-11 or Starbucks nearby.
I rank Jack in the Box coffee as better than Whataburger, better than Chick-Fil-A and better than Taco Bell though, and about the same as Wendy’s. It’s thoroughly middle of the road coffee at best, and that’s about all you should expect of it if you order some.
Jack in the Box Iced Coffee
Prefer an iced coffee instead of hot? Jack in the Box has you covered, with several options.
You can buy a standard black iced coffee, made from the same “high mountain arabica beans.” Only 5 calories for the large.
Or if you have a sweet tooth and prefer iced coffee with flavor, you can order the Vanilla Sweet Cream Iced Coffee. $2.89 for a regular or $3.69 for a large. Plenty of calories though. 180 for regular, and 270 for large.
Or if you prefer chocolate to vanilla, there’s Mocha Sweet Cream Iced Coffee that is $2.89 and 190 calories for a medium, and $3.69 and 320 calories for a large.
And finally there’s Caramel Sweet Cream Iced Coffee, described as “High Mountain Arabica coffee blended with sweetened, vanilla cream & caramel served over ice for a delicious & frosty treat. The perfect pick me up.” It’s $2.89 and 162 calories for a regular, and $3.69 and 270 calories for a large.
