Dunkin’ Spiked Hard Iced Coffee (and Tea) with Alcohol: Here Are The Facts

by Lars H

We’ve written in the past about the discontinued spiked “hard coffee” drink from Pabst. So we were excited to read that Dunkin’ is going to jump into this market with a new hard iced coffee and tea offering called Dunkin’ Spiked.

According to beer industry news site Brewbound, the new Dunkin’ Spiked hard canned coffees and teas will launch in 12 states in August. Those states are Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, and Vermont. It will be available in places like grocery stores that sell alcohol, but you won’t be able to get it at Dunkin’ Donut shops.

You can either buy a 12 pack of 12 oz cans that is a sampler of three cans of each of the coffee flavors, or you can buy a four pack of 12 oz cans of the individual flavors. The flavors are Original Iced Coffee, Caramel Iced Coffee, Mocha Iced Coffee and Vanilla Iced Coffee. You can also buy big boy individual cans that hold 19.2 oz if you really want to pound down that coffee with alcohol.

The canned alcohol spiked coffees have 6 percent alcohol, so they are slightly stronger than most beers. Regular beer is often around 5 percent alcohol and light beer is often around 4 percent alcohol.

Dunkin’ is also introducing spiked alcoholic canned teas at the same time. The teas are: Dunkin’s Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, Half & Half Iced Tea, Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea Refresher, and Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher. They are 5 percent alcohol.
