Local is a coffee shop and roastery. It is often considered the birthtplace of specialty coffee in San Antonio. They have an extensive menu of hot and cold coffee drinks with a few surprises like their Vanilla Collagen Cold Brew and Tumeric Ginger Chai.
They locally source their milk, ice cream, oat milk and pastries and make their Horchata, Collagen Creamer and gluten free granola in house.

Merit Coffee takes sourcing and roasting the best beans seriously. They travel the world building relationships with coffee farmers then ship the beans directly to their roasting facility in San Antonio.

The flagship location of Common Wealth was opened in a renovated historic home in Alamo Heights (complete with a chicken coop) and has since grown to 4 locations. The vision was to bring the French tradition of making bread and pastries to San Antonio.

What’s Brewing
This is San Antonio’s oldest coffee roastery. They have a roastery and cafe, a drive through location and a coffee stand at Pearl Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and Sundays. The cafe and roastery features drip coffee, pour over specialty drinks Nitro cold brew and cold brew. The cafe has numerous pinball machines if you like a little retro gaming with your cup of joe.
The drive through location has coffee, tea, smoothies and Italian soda as well as a few sandwiches and sweets.
