Lavazza is one of the largest coffee roasters in Europe, producing coffee roasts, instant coffees, and pods. It also offers coffee machines and equipment. Their roasts are wide-ranging, too, across all roast-level, with single-origins and decaf versions also on offer.

One of Lavazza’s most popular roasts is the Qualita Rossa. This medium roast is, in fact, one of the most popular roasts from Lavazza. How good is the Lavazza Qualità Rossa? I picked up a bag to find out.

Espresso drinkers usually seek deep, dark, and bold flavors with their coffee. This made roasters roast their coffee extra dark for them. Starbucks also offers its own take on espresso roasts, with the Starbucks Espresso Roast. 

However, how good is it? Will it be another case of ‘Charbucks,’ where the beans are roasted to be so smoky you simply taste nothing else? Let’s find out.

One of the best things about Starbucks is its wide offering of coffee roasts. For light ones, you have Veranda Roast. Medium ones, the House Blend or the Pike Place Roast. What about darker roasts? Enter the Caffe Verona Roast. 

In this post, I will review the Starbucks Caffe Verona Roast. I will brew it three ways and then sample it with popular flavorings such as sugar and creamer. Finally, I compare it against dark roasts from other roasters.

When it comes to low-quality coffee, many seem to enjoy flicking their boogers on Folgers. Many also seem to enjoy using Folgers Classic Roast as the poster child for cheap coffee, saying it tastes like dirt. 

I wonder if this is a genuine case of bad coffee or people jumping onto the bandwagon – it is easy to criticize Folgers Classic Roast when everyone else is doing the same. I decided to investigate this myself.

Not all of us want the fanciest coffee out there. Many just want something fast and cheap to sip on. Instant coffee is created for people like these. 

However, within the world of instant coffee, you have the premium and also the bottom-of-the-barrel type. Amazon’s Happy Belly Instant Coffee is usually seen as the latter, cheap and fast, but it does not taste good. How true is this? I want to discover this myself.

You may think of IKEA as a furniture store, but it offers much more than affordable furniture. IKEA also offers a wide range of food and beverage products, including coffee gear and roasts. 

Many coffee drinkers usually shun roasts from large brands and may not even want to touch IKEA’s roasts with a stick. But are IKEA Patar’s roasts that bad? Or do they deserve much better?

Indonesia is known to be producing some of the world’s best coffee. Sumatran coffee is known for its herbal flavor, while coffee from Java and Sulawesi (Celebes) is well sought after. 

There is, of course, the famous, but rather questionable Kopi Luwak (Civet Coffee), but let’s not go there.

However, despite having so much beautiful coffee, Indonesians still love instant coffee. Their choice? Indocafe. This has been the Indonesian staple for years and is probably the best selling instant coffee in the country.

In this post, I’ll pick up a pack of Indocafe instant coffee and review its taste. Aside from trying it with several flavorings, I will also compare it with other instant coffee in my stash.

One way is to use the Starbucks Premium instant coffee. The idea is to only mix the instant coffee with hot water, and you will get the same great taste from your local Starbucks. However, how good does it taste? Let’s find out in this review.
